ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Ashley, and I'm a Halifax Wedding Photographer! I'm also a cat-lover, sunset chaser, and lover of candid, real, adventurous, passionate, beautiful moments. I go swimming any chance I get, I love talking to strangers, laying in grass, curating playlists, and seeing live music. And I really love my job.
I want to connect with you. On your wedding day or portrait session, I don’t just see you as a client. I genuinely want to be friends with you, because when I put my camera in front of you, I’m thinking about who you are, I’m thinking about your future self looking at the photo, I’m thinking about how nervous I would be if I were you, and I’m thinking about how valuable every second I have in front of you is. I don’t walk away from sessions or weddings thinking that I finished a job; I leave thinking about the connection we made, and the pieces of evidence that I get to hold in my hand that say that you lived, loved, laughed, had feelings, had experiences - felt happiness, sadness, fear, excitement. A photo to me tells your story, and I come to photography with that in mind.

I’m based in Halifax, Nova Scotia but I’m always up for travel. Let me know if you’re planning something outside of this province!
RECENT WORK ON THE BLOG:
“UGH. Ok. I very much love my photoss. I thought I should mention though that I’m comfortable with you sharing the pics I ordered, even the non-anonymous ones :) they are great and if it encourages others to book or helps you at all, I’m here for it.”
A romantic, moody, storybook daydream. This November evening was so full of talent, trust, and love. I felt so overwhelmed with the trust these local vendors put in me. <3
This client did her session as a gift to herself as well as a wedding gift to her husband - which is just the BEST idea! I am a huge supporter of doing boudoir just for you - nobody benefits more from a boudoir session than you. But there is something special about having a boudoir session to give to your partner the night before or after the wedding. We worked in his faculty sweater to surprise him with, which was a fun little thing to work into the photos. <3
I love these two sooooo much and I loved that we connected so quickly. Avril and Mark’s last couple years are so similar to mine and Jesse’s (military background + a big move in the past year) it just felt like the most perfect match. ❤️
These two wanted to go to the place where Kody proposed on a scuba diving date so of courssssse I said yes to that. This place was magic.
Please bring me to photograph you in your favourite secret places. It makes me heart all happy.
I feel so lucky to know Kaitlyn and Jason and their family and friends now. They are such genuine people with hearts of gold, they made me feel alllll the happy warm fuzzy things. They brought me out to Moncton for this wedding and the trip was definitely worth it.
